20th Annual Conference

Christian Community Development Association (CCDA)

October 22–26

Hyatt Regency and James L. Knight Center in downtown Miami.

CCDA (Christian Community Development Association) is the premier US organization of church-related community-serving programs. It is an ethnically diverse, national network of thousands of Christians, both individuals and groups, who work together to mobilize spiritual and physical resources in and for their communities through the church in a community-determined way that is redemptive.

Each year at our annual conference, CCDA members and others of goodwill gather to learn from each other through teaching and workshops, discover new resources, network among friends and new acquaintances, worship together and visit ministries to see what God is doing locally.

As hosts for the Conference, we would like to welcome you ahead of time to our city and to let you know that we will be working diligently to make the 2008 CCDA conference meaningful and fun for attendees.

For an idea of the theology behind the event, check out these messages:

(Messages by Dr. Tim Keller, Sr. Pastor, Redeemer Presbyterian Church, NYC)

  • “Doing Justice” The Biblical view of justice is counter to that which we see in our culture today. This message will hopefully cause you to rethink what it really means to “do justice” and encourage you to do so not out of guilt but out of joy and for the right reasons.

  • Love for the City “The Gospel renews individual lives and reweaves the fabric of “shalom” within our communities. Christ calls His people to humbly serve, live with, and love all the diverse people of the city.”
